WHO ARE WE?

Simon Young has worked over 16 vintages in McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek. Working with some of the great luminaries of the area has inspired him with a great passion for fruit driven balanced wines.

His passion for wine is almost matched by his love for large quantities of black coffee, loud drumming and desire to travel and surf as frequently as possible (which is never frequently enough).

Rebecca Young has spent the last 12 years treading the boards of the media and marketing world, with a 12 month respite working in Cellar Door and Marketing at a prominent McLaren Vale Winery. She now runs the business side of Zingara, does some marketing consultancy and works part time in a renowned Adelaide Ad Agency as well as managing the day to day lives of their three children Savannah, Ebony and Asher. more...

WHAT WE DO?

Zingara was formed in 2004 after much deliberation, over a red or three of course. The company was based on the belief we can produce high quality wines that over deliver on value and showcase the amazing fruit from our surrounding areas. Our love of Grenache, it’s potential and versatility, as well as a desire to do something a little different, led us to initially release only a Grenache and Grenache Rose. Launching the label in February 2006 our range has now expanded to include a Langhorne Creek Cabernet, and our tonnage has more than doubled in 2007 to a grand total of 7.
